This sacred amulet, lost in legend for centuries, has been reborn in our time through the rediscovery of Maslama’s own handwritten manuscript notes, sealed in old alchemical vaults beneath the ruins of Cordoba. What follows is the story of the amulet’s rediscovery and recreation.
Maslama al-Majriti was not merely a man of science but a guardian of divine knowledge. In his treatise Kitāb al-Samā’ wa al-Arḍ, found bound in old animal leather, he describes a vision given to him during a planetary alignment, when the veil between worlds grew thin. In that dream, he was taken to the Court of the Jinn beneath Mount Qaf, where the elemental kings bowed before an amulet of black crystal held by an angel of high order. Upon awakening, he began the construction of the Amulet of Destiny, an occult tool meant to unite the laws of heaven and earth, to command all jinn, spirits of flame, the elemental and celestial spirits, and to protect the righteous.
He spent long time its crafting, waiting for the exact alignments of Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury to repeat in accordance with the vision. Each component was ritually created by hand and called into being through elaborate magical ceremony. The body of this unique magical tool was formed entirely from pure black obsidian, known to ancient priests and shamans as “The Stone That Sees the Truth.” Obsidian was used in Mesoamerican sacrifice and Sumerian rites alike. It holds the memory of fire and the silence of deep earth.
Maslama acquired this obsidian not from a quarry but from a hidden crater in North Africa, revealed to him by a spirit of Saturn during one of his midnight vigils. The stone pulsed with latent energy and was veiled from the uninitiated. Only a master magician could approach it without being torn apart by the elemental guardians. The obsidian was then carved by spirit-guided hand, using tools, ritual fire, lunar water, planetary incenses and offerings, and incantations recited in the ancient pre-Adamic language.
The creation of the amulet requires a seven-day-long ritual, known in Maslama’s notes as The Rite of Seven Thrones. During this rite, the planetary spirits of the main seven celestial bodies were summoned and their powers infused into the amulet:
From Mercury, the amulet received speed of thought and dominion over communication with spirits.
From Venus, it was imbued with irresistible allure, drawing jinn and spirits as bees to honey.
From Mars, came destructive power and authority in battle, both spiritual and physical.
From Jupiter, the amulet gained sovereignty and command.
From Saturn, unbreakable protection and the silence of death.
From the Sun, came divine fire, purifying all it touched.
From the Moon, reflection, illusion, and access to the unseen.
Each invocation is performed under the appropriate celestial hour with specific offerings. The amulet is then bound with the 99 Sacred Names of God as a final step, giving it Divine power so strong it can pierce every spirit.
Nothing is known about the whereabouts of Maslama’s original amulet or what happened to it after his death. Many claimed it was taken by his most trusted disciples and preserved within their bloodline. The amulet vanished after the conquest of Andalusia, and Maslama’s teachings were scattered and many destroyed. In 1997, a set of old scrolls was found beneath a ruined stronghold during excavations. Written in Arabic, and filled with ciphered diagrams, they contained the lost notes of al-Majriti’s final work and the complete instructions for the Amulet of Destiny.
Several years ago, we had the rare opportunity to obtain scanned pages of this legendary work and we were astonished by its content. Following the instructions to the letter, our team began the arduous process of recreating the amulet. With utmost caution, we performed each rite under strict astrological guidance. After years of labor and preparation, the amulet was born anew, awakening like a thunderclap between worlds.
This sacred artifact is no mere ceremonial charm. It is talisman of divine authority and a tool of celestial precision. Its known magical properties include:
- Supreme Authority over All Jinn: No jinn, whether ifrit, marid, ghul, or silat, can refuse a direct command from the bearer of this amulet.

Jinn, like humans, are creations of the Divine, and many live righteous lives. The amulet is a judge and executioner, and misuse carries consequences beyond the veil. We advise all people or adepts who seek to wield this mighty instrument to approach it with respect and devotion. Its storage must be within a sealed sanctum, away from ordinary people’s eyes.
Maslama al-Majriti ended his work with a simple warning:
“I have made this amulet not to rule but to protect; not to destroy but to preserve balance. The bearer must be just in heart, wise in speech, and silent in wrath. For he who holds the heavens in his hand must never forget he stands upon the earth.”
Thus is the tale and power of the Magical Amulet of Destiny. A magical relic born of celestial knowledge, invocation, and the sacred art of commanding spirits. In its obsidian core sleeps the voice of the stars and the earthly jinn, and through it, the legacy of al-Majriti lives on.
